Overview
AnyFileKit Picture Translator is a browser-based tool that reads the text inside a picture and translates it into English or roughly 60 other languages. It accepts screenshots, photos, scans and comic pages, detects the source language automatically, and returns a PNG at the original pixel size with the translation drawn back over the text it replaces.
The tool offers two modes. In AI mode, a reduced copy of the picture is sent to a model that reads and translates it in context; this mode is aimed at manga, comics and busy images. In Fast mode, the picture is read in the browser and only the words found in it are sent for translation, which suits clean screenshots and documents. The free allowance is 5 pages a day with no account or watermark, where a page is 3000 characters of source text and an AI-mode image counts as 2 pages. A paid pass costs $9 for 1,500 pages over 30 days. Results are also listed as text, and bought pages are held in a browser receipt rather than an account.
