Overview
DOFOTT is a tool that adds travel time to Google Calendar. Instead of typing a duration by hand, a user connects a Google account and sets home and work addresses. DOFOTT then places blocks before and after each event that has a location, using travel time from Google Maps. Travel modes include driving, transit, walking and cycling, and the mode can be changed for a single trip.
Blocks behave like ordinary calendar events. Moving or resizing an event moves its block within seconds, and deleting the event removes the block. A recurring event gets one recurring block, and changing a single occurrence affects only that date. Users can add buffer time for parking or finding the door, and each block links to a page for that trip.
The site states that DOFOTT reads only the id, location and start and end times of events with a location, and never titles, attendees or descriptions. It works with Google Calendar only. Twelve meetings with a location a month are free; beyond that the pay-as-you-go price is $5 for the month, or a $36 annual plan.
