Overview
MumbleFlow is a native Mac application that combines system-wide voice dictation with local meeting notes. It runs on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 26 or later and supports English recognition.
Dictation works by holding the Fn key while speaking; MumbleFlow transcribes the speech on-device, removes filler words, applies explicit corrections, and inserts finished text into the focused application. A second workflow, Oat, records the microphone and selected computer audio only when the user starts recording. It produces a timestamped transcript with speaker labels and cited topics, decisions, action items, and open questions, plus a five-minute catch-up summary.
A local search feature queries meetings stored on the Mac by phrase or meaning and links results to transcript timestamps. Core processing, including recognition, cleanup, meeting summaries, embeddings, and search, runs locally after the required models are installed. The app has no account, analytics SDK, or cloud content server, and it uses AES-GCM encryption for sensitive records. Dictation audio is discarded after processing, meeting audio expires after 30 days, and dictation text is kept for seven days by default.
MumbleFlow is a $5 one-time purchase with no recurring subscription. Internet access is required for purchase, downloads, and updates. Intel Macs, Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, and other recognition languages are not supported, and Gmail, Calendar, and Slack connections are not enabled in this release.
